3.5 & 6 months

Wow, 2 months has flown by! Things have been busy as we try to soak up these last few days of nice weather! In August, my sweet Grandpa Weatherford passed away. The kids and I flew out to say our good-byes before taking him off support and then Ben drove out for the service. Above is a family picture of all of us(that were able to come) at the service. So grateful for my knowledge of eternal families...and my knowledge as a nurse to help our family...and for my great bro-in-law who is a doctor and helped me muddle through what was going on with my grandpa. It was an unexpected passing but we know he is comfortable now!

2 days after returning from Portland...Hyrum started his 1st day of preschool! He goes 2 days a week. I thought I would be sadder...but mostly I'm enjoying my freedom to shop for 4 hrs/week with just Alison!
Beginning of August...my mom came out and took our annual Redskin family photo! BTW...tonight they play the cowboys for mnf...Go REDSKINS!

My Sweet Alison! The next are random photos over the month of September of my cutie! Yesterday she turned 6 months! Time flies! She is almost sitting up, scooting everywhere, rolling everywhere, eating some solids, and receiving loving from her family! (I inherited a dslr camera and have been loving playing with it so sorry for all the pics!)

We have a crazy next 3 weeks...I have tons of extra work for education stuff the next few weeks....Ben is taking the GMAT (scarry) on Oct 10 for his MBA (hopefully starting in January)...and I'm running my first 5k on Oct 15! Wish me luck! Hope the weather stays nice enough so my lungs won't be burning in 30 degree weather at 8am!

Catching Up as Always!

So much to catch up on! 1 1/2 months has gone by since last time I blogged and we have been busy! First off, Happy Fathers Day to my wonderful sweetie! He is the best daddy a kid could ask for and the best hubby! Love you! He got a wet/dry vac for the garage (how romantic I know?) but it came in handy because 2 weeks later we shot a rock through our windshield in the garage and got to use it!

Below: Hyrum has mastered pedaling and can now ride a bike! (with training wheels). He loves it! We all got bikes and have been enjoying riding together but I have no pics because who is there to take them?

Hyrum's wonderful speech teacher (who we no longer "see" for speech but see for fun now) was getting rid of her kids jeep and gave it to Hyrum! He loves it! So spoiled this kid!

We had a FHE at the IF visitor's center and Hyrum loved the Christus there. They actually let you touch this one which is pretty neat for a little kid!

Alison can now sit in her bumbo and support herself. She likes it but I don't because she pukes everything up when she sits in it. Oh well!

4th of July! Not very exciting day because I had to work but the kids looked cute!

Ben's birthday present to us was a fence he didn't have to build! It looks great and we are loving it! So nice to have Hyrum contained! We got a fire pit and taught Hyrum how to roast marshmallows and make smores! He loves it!

Miss Alison Ruth at 4 months! Can't believe its been 4 months already! At 4 months you are sleeping through the night most nights (except for when mommy's at work). Rolling over. Smiling and laughing! Grasping objects with your hands. Grabbing your toes and pulling off your socks! Getting tons of loving from your brother, mommy, and daddy! We love you!

Hyrum is finishing up 2 weeks of swim lessons this week! He is a fish!

We've been busy and having lots of fun! My mom and brother come out on Sunday for almost 2 weeks which will be great. Can't believe school will be here soon for Hyrum!

Catching Up!

Feels like I never get a free moment sometimes and we've been having a few challenges with sleeping since we've been home from our trip...so I'm finally getting around to updating while Ben watches the kiddos! If you want...scroll down as I've posted 3 posts today! Hyrum was such an angel on the long day home from Portland that we rewarded him with a "wack weeder" (weed wacker). He love helping Ben mow the lawn and now can help him trim!

Below just my cute smiley girl in her jammies. Hyrum has picked up on our little baby talk we say to Alison and says "hi smiley" (which sounds like hi smelley from his words) and "hi cutie pie." I love seeing them interact!
Hyrum loved this play mat as a baby and looks like he still does! I've been using it with Alison the last few days and Hyrum insists on playing with her on it!

Yesterday we were invited to go to "Rigby Days" parade with some friends. Hyrum and Brooklyn and Tatum(the middle girl turned around) not happy as I tried to picture them in the sun!

And...because I can't resist showing her off...my darling girl this morning before chruch! Her hair is all curly and she's in this cute dress we found at costco in Portland! Love it!

Time is flying by...my baby is 11.5 weeks and I go back to work Thursday! Sad day! I have loved every minute of being home and find myself jealous of those stay at home moms! I do love my job once I'm there...its just so hard to leave!

I turn the big 25 on Tuesday. Not any big plans but just enjoying my last few nights before even less sleep comes! All I want for my birthday is a nap!

We are so happy and loving our kids so much! I love being a mommy and I love watching Ben be a daddy again and Hyrum be a big brother! My dreams have all come true!

First Airplane Ride...

Ben had a short week so I talked him into taking the week off and flying us out to Portland to visit my mom and brother. The week flew by and we had a blast but it is good to be home...we're working on returning to normal. Traveling with 2 is hard!!! Above is my cute cousin Rachel holding Alison. She just graduated high school! Congrats Rachie!

My mom lives near a pond with ducks and we visited it a couple times and Hyrum loved feeding the ducks.

We also went to build-a-bear in Portland and Hyrum loved this. Here he is washing his doggie. We now have doggie#1, doggie #2, and puppy at our house that all sleep with him. (fyi...puppy is the biggest of the 3 dogs!)

Hyrum's favorite daily and sometimes twice daily activity was the hot tub! I need one of these!
